How Study Abroad Transforms - blogs.edweek.org/edweek/global_learning/2016/08/high_school_study_abroad_three_signs_of_student_transformation.html?qs=study+abroad
When is the trip?We will leave for France within one week of school getting out in June of 2017. We will likely not know the exact date until second semester of this school year.. Where will we be going? The trip itinerary can be found here: Paris, Normandy and Brittany Who is eligible to go?Students who will have completed at least French 2 by June 2017 at Haslett HS will be eligible to travel. How much will it be? If we decide to travel to London, the tour will run around $3900. If we decide not to travel to London, the tour will run around $3500. The travelers will need to decide as a group whether or not to travel to London. Additionally, students will need money for souvenirs and lunch each day. How much you bring depends on the student. I suggest budgeting $30-$50 per day, though most students end up going home with leftover money in their accounts. When will we know more? The trip has been approved by the school board. We will hold an informational meeting during the second week of school. More information will be provided to French 2, 3 & 4 students during the first week of school.
